First of all, you will need to a tiny and multi-purpose utility called as Nircmd. This tiny utility will be around 100kb in Size which can to amazing tasks. For a complete list of tasks this utility is capable of, take a look at its download page at nirsoft. All you need to do is to extract the contents of the downloaded file and save it in a folder, most preferably in the OS drive.
Once you have with done that, simply follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Create a Shortcut
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New > Shortcut.Step 2: Assign Shortcut for nircmd.exe file
Now click on browse and navigate to the location where you had saved the nircmd.exe file and select it.Step 3: Edit the arguement
Add quotes to the beginning and the end of the path and then add the following argument :Here’s how the final argument should look.cmdwait 1000 monitor off
“C:\path-to\nircmd.exe” cmdwait 1000 monitor off
Step 4: Enter Name for Shortcut
Click on next and enter a name for the shortcut. Finally click on finish to create the shortcut.That’s it, You are done. Just click on the Icon and you can see the Screen Turning off.
